Hi Ed, Thank you for the great video!! I want to point some things out, that can help others. Zigbee2Mqtt does support a Conbee2 stick. But here is no clarification wich configuration. yaml to be used. Lots of video's and help documents are talking about that you must put in serial: deconz in the config file. So you can put it in the wrong config.yaml. Zigbee2Mqtt has it own configuration.yaml. Further more, you don't need anything to fill in the addon exept in the serial section: No need to fill in user and password because this is handled by the broker and not the Zigbee2Mqtt addon. Remember to make another person/user for your IoT clients. adapter: deconz port: >- /dev/serial/by-id/usb-dresden_elektronik_ingenieurtechnik_GmbH_ConBee_II_DE2497927-if00 The port: as i mentioned is importend, because ttyACM0 is not to reliable. Also remember to configure the mqttbroker in a propper way. Make a new person and give it all the admin rights. This wil create a user with all rights. Go to the mqtt integration (not the addon), and re-configure the broker. I like the different color of the guitars! Keep up the good work.

A pity that Callmebot is no longer free even at the most basic level where it is severely crippled (and $4 per year PER PHONE NUMBER for not using a personal sender is actually excruciatingly expensive - there is this thing called the Laffer curve where being too greedy results in rather low income for the vendor. Maybe $4/per year for a bundle of 4 or 5 numbers would be reasonable). Whatspie looks like a great service, but offers rather too much facility for a fairly high price - pity there is not a more basic level of subscription less than 100,000 messages per month. Another service (like the color green...) emanates from Russia, and asks rather too much account information - so that's a non starter these days. So at the moment there really is no good option I can find.

Afgelopen weekend deze tutorial gevolgd met de installatie van de Reolink video deurbel. Het werkt bijna helemaal top. Wanneer ik met de Wlan ben verbonden, komt de snap netjes mee in de notificate op mijn telefoon. Wanneer ik via 4/5g verbonden ben krijg ik de snap niet. Waar zou 'm dit in kunnen zitten?

looks to slow to run a moderate to large HA project to me....what's the hardware specs? Be interesting if it could be quickly used and automatically switch on as a HA backup server. That posible?

Mine just delivered today. There was one inconsistency in the license agreement on the app, and the one in the device. The app reflects being in Australia, while the device itself requires agreeing to a China location for the law of the agreement. I haven't updated the firmware yet, but it does raise the question of who is able to remotely access the device, and where the software is maintained both in the cloud and on the device. I doubt this company is big enough to attract the attention of US Congress, but with things like TicTok bans passed and DJI drone bans passed the House, I'm wondering when controls like this start having more generic bans.

Looks nice but it's not enough for me. Home assistant forever!!! If you have a tablet and a specific dashboard there's no limits. Anyway thank you for bring it to the channel, as you said could be good for some users.

I gotta be honest. I don't know who this product is for. So it is a tablet. But it runs HA. But a super stripped down version with very limited functions? Why not just a tablet at that point running your HA dashboard? Also what is with the title? I understand clickbait is the new UA-cam. Don't hate the player, hate the game and all that but I don't liked being misled or tricked. @SMJ I don't believe for one sec you think this is "The Home Assistant Killer of the Future". If you do, then honestly I should just unsubscribe. It's a device that runs HA. A device that rusn HA is not a "Home Asistant Killer". Again it RUNS HOME ASSISTANT! Also again I understand you gotta take Sponsors and make money, but again we don't like being misled in the title. Also I don't pick up devices based on "promised features". I buy it on what it can do today (Including latest Firmware). I just subscribed last night and unfortunately this video has put a sour taste in my mouth.

USB-C is mandatory as of Dec. 28, 2024 in the EU, so I'll wait for the next version.

I see it as it is. A hub in between. Or a screen for HA. I don't need a hub because I already have HA. And I don't need a screen because I already have one. As a stand alone device it has his limitations. You can add a Zigbee stick, but does it allow you to choose you're own stick? Does it support z-wave and matter?

I will only judge a product based on what it does now. It may have potential to do more in the future, but I don't trust "future firmware" as this may never come. Sure, it looks like it has potential, but there have been a few products in the past where reviews have said "Home Assistant killer" but Home Assistant has always prevailed :). It would be nice if the firmware does come and allow it to reach full potential, but I will believe it when it comes :). By the way. Can you mute the assistant trigger words? You triggered my Google Assistant during this video. :)

Can you add a USB Hub to allow more USB devices to be connected? The remote shown on the LinkNLink website looks like a receiver rather than the device you said was the remote. Also, it seems you cannot order the remote AND the Net/USB adaptor with the device. You can one or the other - Wierd! I'll wait while for updates.
